Many years ago, I decided I was tired of working in the corporate world. I have always had an extreme love for animals of all kinds and this love for animals made a pet sitting company the perfect choice for a career change. My years of experience as an executive secretary gave me the people and organizational skills that would be needed as the business grew. So, in the Spring of 2008, I quit my job and the Content Critter was born. It was very slow going for the first year and I recall praying for the phone to ring. At times I wondered if my new business would ever take off. But once clients started experiencing coming home from work and vacations to happy, CONTENT pets, they started recommending us to their family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

I enjoy my days taking care of pets of all kinds. I enjoy meeting all the new clients, many of whom have become good friends. I cannot imagine ever doing anything else with my time and energy. Now, thanks to God answering my prayers and happy clients telling everyone they know about the Content Critter, we now provide service to over 900 clients. And the list of happy clients is growing.

I was working in the commercial photography/advertising industry when Claudia started the Content Critter. I was tired of traveling to New York City for my work, so after the Content Critter started growing, I decided to come and work full-time at the Content Critter. I take care of our “Guest Pups” which is our in-home dog boarding service. My favorite part of what I do at Content Critter is taking candid photos of many of the dogs and puppies that “stay and play” with us, using one of our beautiful parks as the backdrop. I also enjoy exercising our active dogs with hikes in the parks and preserves.  

For dogs and pups that are allowed off leash, we head to a 10 acre off leash park and pond for running and swimming fun. We also have less active, senior dogs that enjoy the 24/7 human companionship and attention they get when staying in our home. Although not nearly as much fun as playing and loving on dogs, I also work in marketing the business through promotional materials and our online presence.

I have a special love for cats (and dogs). As the business grew, and since over half of the pets we care for are cats and kittens, I came to work with my parents at the Content Critter. I lead the area of cat care which is evidenced by the license plate on my car that reads “Cat Care”.

The more involved I became in the business, the more I realized that the business needed a more streamline and efficient way to run. I persuaded my parents to transition to a specialized pet sitting scheduling and invoicing software. Our clients love the ease of booking or changing services; updating their pet’s care routine and needs; and easily paying invoices online. I really enjoy caring for cats, dogs, and other pets and I really enjoy keeping the systems operating with ease and proficiency.
