Q. What are the advantages of hiring a professional pet sitter, cat sitter, or dog walker rather than having a family member, friend, or neighbor to care for my pets?

A. We have been providing professional pet care 7 days per week and 365 days per year since 2008. By hiring a professional pet sitter (like the Content Critter) you will not have to ask untrained or reluctant friends, neighbors, or family to care for your pet(s). There is peace of mind knowing that your pet will be well cared for by professionals. We get many calls from frantic pet parents who tell us their friend, neighbor, or part-time pet sitter canceled at the last minute. Since we opened for business in 2008, we have NEVER canceled service for anyone, and we can GUARANTEE that you will not be our first.

Q. Do you have references?
A. Yes. We will give you references at the complimentary “meet and greet.”
Q. When I’m away how do I know (for sure) that my pet is being cared for?
A. The staff at the Content Critter can send “service reports” with photos to clients as often as you wish to receive them. Our staff members all love pets and are professional, but mistakes can happen. To avoid a pet visit from being accidentally missed our software system uses GPS tracking and lets us know when our staff member checks in at your home and when they check out and leave. We monitor this throughout the day to be sure no pets are accidentally missed. Plus, all staff must login to the software and acknowledge all their jobs for that day first thing in the morning. This is another safeguard that tells us that everyone knows their schedule for the day.
Q. When do I pay for services for my pet?
A. Unlike other pet sitting companies that charge before services are performed, we invoice you AFTER pet care services are performed. For regular service, we can invoice you daily, weekly, or monthly, whichever you prefer.
Q. How do I pay for services?

A. We accept all major credit cards as well as cash, checks, and PayPal. We can also debit any bank account. This is all done though your secure online account. If you want total convenience, you can set your account to bill automatically after services are performed and you will be emailed a paid invoice receipt. Unlike many other pet care companies, we never charge a convenience fee for using a credit card.

Q. Do I need to give you a key to our home?
A. No, you do not have to give us a key. We offer our clients a free, locking hide-a-key box. It is magnetic and can be attached to any metal surface. It can also be attached to any non-metallic surface by attaching the included self-adhesive metal strip to any surface. Our clients love the locking hide-a-key box for those times when they lock themselves out of the house. If you do not want to use the box, then you will need to provide us with two (2) copies of your house key. One will be kept in our office as a backup and the other one is for the sitter.
Q. Do you work on holidays?
A. Yes. We provide pet care even on all major holidays of the year including New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve.
Q. Do you provide pet care in inclement weather?
A. Yes. We will provide pet care in the rain, snow, sleet, hail. The only exception would be if your dog needs to be walked and there is a thunderstorm roaring overhead (sorry, we will not take a chance of being struck by lightning and we do not think you would want your pup to be struck by lightning either). We will keep an “eye to the skies” and plan the visit, accordingly. The pet’s visit will NEVER be missed but it may be delayed.
Q. Do you administer medications?
A. Yes. There is NO additional charge for this service.
Q. If I am using your services for vacation travel will you bring in my mail and packages?
A. Yes. We also put trash cans out and bring them back to your specified location after trash is collected. We also rotate lights to give your home a lived-in look.
Q. Can you water my potted plants?
A. Yes. All you need to do is leave a note for your pet care professional and we will water your potted plants at NO additional charge.
Q. How do we (my pet and I) become a client of the Content Critter?

A. Simple, just click on the “Schedule a Meet & Greet” button. After we meet, you will set your password for you secure online booking portal. And here’s the important part, RELAX, your pets will be professionally cared for by one of our pet loving staff members.
